While most folks right now are in the throws of lazy, hot summer days, delicious BBQ, and sipping a lemonade in the shade of a Sycamore by a lazy river, savvy event planners are busy at work thinking ahead to the holiday season and special dinners and parties they need to plan for their company or clients.  They know that prime event days during the holidays get sold out earlier in the year, and when an event is routinely held at the same traditional location annually, it can make it even more challenging to find an alternative date the closer December comes.

Alisal Guest Ranch and Resort is especially lovely at the holiday season, with the beautiful decor, roaring fires in fireplaces, and that signature service with delicious cuisine, making it a leading choice for family, corporate and office parties for years.  Larger event spaces can host dancing after dinner, and depending on the season and availability, a room block may be able to be arranged for guests.  Similarly is Alisal River Terrace (just up the road- otherwise known as Alisal River Course Grill), with ample self-parking, beautiful sweeping views of the surrounding hillside and ample room for almost any type of layout (depending on guests size) from cocktail parties, to a dinner and dancing in front of the fireplace inside.  Alisal River Terrace offers the world-class service and cuisine from the main ranch with more flexibility in policies and is more spending plan-friendly.

Alisal Christmas Tree in SycamoreWith so many prime evening dates being sold out, as well as increasing number of people now citing that the holidays are too stressful and over-committed, some have decided to nix the idea of a traditional weekend holiday party and offer alternatives, where they know most of their guests will be able to attend.  These alternatives include:

a)  Booking a weekend champagne brunch, instead of traditional evening dinner and dancing

b) Hosting a holiday gathering in January – when not only more dates are available, but one can make the theme a Kick-off To the New Year and New Beginnings celebration – something fresh for guests. Often rates are more negotiable in January, when business can slow down more .

No matter what you choose, now is the time to start thinking about the holidays and plan ahead.   From entertainment, rentals, decor, specialty lighting referrals to customized ranch menus designed just for your group, the Alisal Events Team can help make the perfect recommendations to get you started for your holiday celebration so you look good.
