
When was the last time you were down at the River Course Grill (also known as Alisal River Terrace for weddings and private events)? Besides being a fabulous place to eat, the River Course of The Alisal offers fantastic golf opportunities and a great pro shop overseen by new employee Golf Professional Brook Bell.
Besides getting to know Brook in person the next time you are at the River Course at the Alisal, here is a brief interview we conducted with him to help get the waters warm for your next visit and conversation with him:
Where were you born and raised?
Brought up in Newbury Park until high school and then my family moved to Fort Collins Colorado
What brought you to Alisal?
Job opportunity in a beautiful and relaxing area.
What is your background as it relates to golf ?
My grandfather taught me the basics but I really didn’t get the bug until I was in college.
What is your favorite thing about working at Alisal River Course?
Great people and amazing scenery!
What are your recommendations for first time visitors to Alisal River Course?
Make sure to bring your camera!
What do most not know about the Pro-shop or River Course for golf?
The land that the River Course is on used to be land that had stables and tracks for thoroughbred horses.
What is your favorite food?
I’d have to say a good steak.
What one place have you visited that you would like to go back to or never been to before that you like to go and why?
I have been to Hanalei Bay on the island of Kauai once and have always dreamed of going back some day.
