Jessica and Vince’s Alisal Wedding Story

Alisal guests may know Alisal bartender Vince and his fiancée, Jessica, who recently tied the knot at the ranch.   While the rain came down just moments before the bride was to walk down the aisle, that didn’t dampen the spirits of the guests or the bride and groom, who quickly shifted to a cozy and romantic fireside wedding ceremony in the Sycamore Room with legendary local pianist Bill Powell providing some lovely ambiance as well as ceremony music.

How Long Have you Been Coming to Alisal Guest Ranch?  8 years. My husband & I come every year for our anniversary

What Is Your Happiest Memory (so far) at the Ranch?  I think  we were there the year it rained like 10 inches. Maybe March 2011? We couldn’t really do any of the outdoor activities on the ranch, so we stayed in with a fire, and enjoyed the solitude. The morning the rain started myself and 2 other women that come at the same time we do went riding. We were soaked when we got back, but it was great fun.

Modern is good, but at Alisal we believe there are some things that just shouldn’t change—like including breakfast and dinner in your room rate. We call it a Modified American Plan. You’ll call it delicious.

As guests at Alisal, you are assigned a particular dining room table at the beginning of your stay. (In many cases, this is the same table guests have occupied during their previous visit.) Since Alisal does not “turn” its tables during meal periods, guests are free to come in any time within the published hours of service.

With six full-size tennis courts, Alisal provides players of all skill levels a beautiful setting in which to serve and volley. Our tennis pros are on hand to arrange for group or individual lessons, to match players up with other guests or members for practice or competition, and to schedule the occasional friendly tournament.

We offer special summer adult group classes starting in June, as well as introductory classes for children ages 6-14.

We have a full-service tennis shop adjacent to the courts, featuring HEAD racquets for sale or rent, clothing and shoes, racquet stringing and gripping, tennis balls and accessories.  Alisal logo t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats and visors are also available.
