While the adults unwind, kids visiting the Alisal Guest Ranch get to 
do what kids do best: have fun. From expert childcare available for our “littlest guests,” to chicken-egg gathering, horse grooming, steer head roping lessons at the Barn to Lake BBQ Night for teens only, there’s something for every age at Alisal.
Swimming
Swimming is one of the most popular activities at Alisal for kids and families. Our large in-ground pool is staffed with lifeguards and provides an ideal place for splashing around or simply some quiet sunbathing. Adults will also appreciate the adjacent whirlpool and the convenience of the poolside Chuckwagon Grill, which is open for lunch daily throughout the summer. The nearby Waggin’ Tongue is also open during the summer and is renowned for its delicious milkshakes.
Barn Yard
Drop by and meet all the critters at the Barn!
Open 10:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.-3:00 p.m. daily
Egg gathering: 1:30 p.m. daily
We ask that an adult accompany children during their visit to the Barn Yard. All ages are welcome.
Lead Around
Parents can lead small children on horseback around the corral. Lead-around horse rides are available:
10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday
1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m.: Monday, Wednesday, Friday
Arts and Crafts
Available year round in the Laurel Room. Please remember, we ask that children under the age of 6 be accompanied by an adult.
