their experiences with us. It is these experiences that make up the generations of legacy for which Alisal is known. When Mackenzie Vandergeest reached out with some of her photos, we asked if she would be willing to be featured on our BLOG and answer our interview questions and were so pleased she said yes. How Long Have you Been Coming to Alisal Guest Ranch? Since 
2007. My Mom and Dad (John and Kelly Vandergeest) had come in 2007 and 2009 for their anniversaries. My Dad passed away in July 2010, so my mom wanted to carry on a tradition at Alisal Ranch for her three children (Mackenzie, Wyatt and Chelsea). We have come twice since then. This last visit was to celebrate what would have been my Dad’s 60th birthday. We plan on coming every other year as a family.
What Is Your Happiest Memory (so far) at the Ranch? Riding horses, of course, where my mom enjoys watching her kids…well, actually, she laughs the whole time.
What Are Your Favorite Things to Do When You Visit? We love 
tennis, the fitness center, hiking and the pool. The outdoor BBQ Saturday night with great food is also a favorite!
What is the One Thing First Time (or returning) Alisal Guests Should Not Miss? The beautiful scenery during the horseback ride!
