Real Alisal Wedding Couples | An Interview with Jackie and Brian

20140402-155311.jpgHow did you two meet? We met through our church group in 2008. We were friends for 3 years prior to dating.

How did you decide on Alisal Guest Ranch for your wedding ? We decided on the Alisal because I (Jackie) worked in the food and beverage department as a server for a summer. I was able to see the gorgeous property and participated in a few weddings while I was at the Alisal. All of the weddings were gorgeous because of the views and incredible staff.

20140402-155322.jpgWhere did you hold the wedding on the property? Our wedding took place at Alisal River Terrace (also known the River Course). The reception was held on the adjacent patio.

What was your wedding menu? Our menu included the following:
Appetizers: Smoked Salmon Canape with Pumpernickel Bread, Chicken Empanadas with Alisal Salsa Cruda, Seared Ahi Tuna with Wasabi Cream on Wonton and Shiitake Mushroom & Boursin Cheese Crostini | Buffet:
Mixed Green Salad with White Balsamic Vinegrate, Garlic Bread, Jalepeno Corn Muffins | Marinated Grilled Vegetables, Dry Jack Pototato Au Gratin, Chateau Sirloin cooked to order, Chilean Sea Bass with a Plum and Ginger Sauce, and Chicken with a Chimmichurri Sauce | Cakes: Each table had individual cakes so we could promote family mingling. The flavors were Nutella, Red Velvet and a white cake with fresh berries and Grand Marnier. | Drinks: Signature drink was a sangria with fresh fruit

What kind of entertainment did you have ? Paradise Entertainment was our DJ. Mike and his son were excellent.

20140402-155330.jpgWhat highlights of your day stand out to you ? The highlights for me were, putting on my wedding dress, enjoying my first look with Brian on the bridge, laughing during pictures, the amazing menu and dancing the night away.

Would you recommend Alisal Guest Ranch to anyone thinking of getting married? Yes, I would recommend  Alisal Guest Ranch because the views are unbeatable and our contact at the Alisal (Christina) was very helpful.   Furthermore, my family loves to eat and the menu was divine. Chef Pascal Gode is a family friend and it was a pleasure dreaming up the menu with him.

How many months/years have you been married and what is your advice for a successful marriage thus far ? We have now been married for 6 months. I think the key to a successful marriage to keep open communication with each other and not ignoring any issues that arise.
